I don't know why I ever stopped doing this. [The snowy background today seems to be outside the Ecruteak Gym, with Lancer in a seasonally appropriate oversized jacket--with a secure and comfortable Wartortle poking its head out of the collar. That probably wasn't a standard accessory.] Guess I just got settled in one place too long, y'know?

[As for what 'this' is, Lancer seemed to be tossing a small metallic object to himself in one hand, and that Wartortle was looking awfully pleased with himself.]

But I guess we never did figure out if there was really a point to it, did we? Collect all the badges, nothin' really happens? At least there's some fun to be had out of gettin' them in the first place.

[He shrugged, frowning in what was probably an expression of thought.]

...Guess it'd be annoying if we were just dropped here with nothing interesting to do.

Travelling for weeks at a time can get kinda tiring though. Especially if you're headed to Blackthorn. There's nothing else up there. Mahogany Town's a bust and the Ice Path...

[Mondo makes a face. Look, he's not really good at puzzles to begin with and slippery floor puzzles are the worst.]

I've been here long enough to hear some crazy shit about the Ice Path. [thank god his team is like 50% fire types]

It wasn't really that bad since I was with my friend who'd been through it before, but I never would've figured out those puzzles on my own. I can't believe no one's gone in there and tried to melt all the ice puzzles.

I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever in the area. Got a couple Rapidash that'd probably love to give it a shot.

It'd certainly be doing everyone a favor! I didn't have enough Fire-types for it, otherwise I'd have done it myself.

I've got a pretty good number of 'em. Wonder if somethin' like that would actually work--I mean, knowing this place it ain't that easy.

I dunno if it'd work permanently, but if you can get rid of the ice even for a few minutes it'd speed things up. Of course it would be nice if the ice permanently melted...

Yeah, I guess if you had enough firepower a few feet ahead of you the whole time it'd be a lot easier. There's no way it'd last long, though.
