Okay, time to admit it. Who's 'Kanra' and why should I care?

[Lancer was on a couch in the Cherrygrove Pokemon Center, an egg sitting beside him. The Servant leaned forward with a mischievous smirk on his face, head resting on his hand.]

You know, Rin, if this is you there are better ways to get my attention. And assuming it isn't, I have to wonder who I've spoken to long enough to get them this interested with me. The alternative being whatever is in this egg will hatch and try to kill me, I think I'll work with the 'secret admirer' assumption for now.

I can't say I'm shocked. Kotomine was cheating so much I started to wonder if there was a single rule he hadn't broken. Having other Masters do the same isn't startling.

The Holy Grail isn't what it appears to be, Lancer. Kotomine wants the evil it carries. That same evil is probably what kept him alive.

...tch. Judging by how he and his other Servant kept talking, I assumed there was something unusual about it. I never really cared enough to listen, I was just waiting for a chance to kill him.

His other Servant? Which one was that?

Now that I think of it, you might know him. He was another Archer-class that apparently was able to stay after the previous war.

He called himself Gilgamesh. Gold armor, insufferable bastard. Really, he suited Kotomine pretty well.

Kotomine's Servant. He was ridiculously strong. Must have been the Grail keeping him around too.

I never asked about the details. I know he sure as hell wasn't a pushover, at least.

Out of them all, the Berserker was most frightening. His Master was a no talent magi who had zero control over him. But he was a direct counter to the King of Heroes. That fight was the only time I saw that Golden King be defeated.

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure what exactly happened to him or at the end of the fifth war at all. I should probably ask Rin when next I talk to her. I died a few minutes after killing Kotomine, obviously.

[Just not quite in the way one might expect.]

I saw a little bit of the fifth war's Berserker, but mainly from the sidelines. Like I said, I was mainly ordered to act in a scouting capacity.

Mind telling me the other Masters if you know them?

I guess it wouldn't hurt at this point. There was this kid named Shinji that had Rider--total bastard, honestly. I never got the name of the guy that Caster had, same with Assassin. Berserker was summoned by the Einzbern kid, Rin Tohsaka had Archer, and I was there when your kid summoned Saber.

[His face slips a bit at the Einzbern kid part, even though he knew he should have expected it. But he does start talking to himself. Since Lancer is a Heroic Spirit, he knows the guy has too much pride to turn anything he says against him anyway.]

Shinji Matou is no threat. My research tells me magic ended in that line a couple generations ago. Rin is currently with Shirou and I do not doubt his judge of character. Illyasviel von Einzbern....is she here? In this world?

Rin and the kid are fine, I wouldn't worry about them. Shinji's too scared of me to pull a damn thing here, I can tell you that much.

I haven't seen Berserker's master here yet, no. Why?

The only ones I've seen from back home so far are you, the kid, Rin, the fifth war's Rider, and that Shinji brat.
