Okay, time to admit it. Who's 'Kanra' and why should I care?

[Lancer was on a couch in the Cherrygrove Pokemon Center, an egg sitting beside him. The Servant leaned forward with a mischievous smirk on his face, head resting on his hand.]

You know, Rin, if this is you there are better ways to get my attention. And assuming it isn't, I have to wonder who I've spoken to long enough to get them this interested with me. The alternative being whatever is in this egg will hatch and try to kill me, I think I'll work with the 'secret admirer' assumption for now.

Why would the only two options available for receiving a supposedly anonymous gift admiration or abhorrence? Is it not possible that the previous owner simply did not want the egg, and pawned it off on the nearest person?

That might be the case, if I hadn't gotten a note with nothing but a heart and a signature on it.

[identity profile] usedtherapy.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Is it not possible the note was simply a ruse, so as to avoid questioning of why it was abandoned without a word? I have to wonder, as I know another who also received eggs from a 'Kanra'.

...huh. That's strange; I wonder how many others there were.

Wouldn't a note from someone I've never heard of raise more questions?

[identity profile] usedtherapy.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
It would indeed, and I am currently wondering about said inquiries. They don't know Kanra as well, from what I gathered.

Are you able to discern how you received it? Did you see the Pokemon who maid the delivery? Or was it simply there when you found it? Knowing the delivery person would be one step closer to finding the identity of the sender.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't see anything at all. [Which was strange in itself, now that he thought of it.]

It just turned up in my room this morning.

The most likely answer then is that whoever this is currently finds residence the city you're at. I am not sure how they would get it to your room otherwise.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Aren't there Pokemon that look like birds? They could have used one of those.

[identity profile] usedtherapy.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
True, but unless you leave your window open, and the owner happens to know exactly which window is yours, how would they place it in your room without you knowing?

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
You think I'd leave my window open when it's this cold?

And if whoever Kanra is delivered eggs to multiple random people, why? It probably would have been less trouble to leave them at a Pokemon center.

[identity profile] usedtherapy.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Hence why it would be strange of someone outside of your city to be able to put the egg in your room.

That is a question I'm not sure about myself. If it were admiration, wouldn't that mean they have multiple people they are infatuated with?

If it were to cause you harm, they must have a lot of vendettas.

Hm.

I don't think Tohsaka is after your attention.

[identity profile] zelretch.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Don't kid yourself. It wasn't me.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
I'll admit I've gotten a lot of people angry at me in the past, but I can't think of anything I've done since getting here.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Call it wishful thinking.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
No, probably not. That's a shame.

[identity profile] wontdieifkilled.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
A shame? I don't think it's a shame.

Settle down, kid. She's a little young for me no matter how you look at it.

[identity profile] usedtherapy.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose then your first assumption is the most likely here. Perhaps it would be good to converse with others who have received gifts from this 'Kanra'.

[identity profile] zelretch.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
...You know, I had no idea you were that desperate. But if you really have a secret admirer, you don't really need to be, do you?

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Me, desperate? There isn't a chance of that happening.

From what I hear, I'm not the only one.

[identity profile] wontdieifkilled.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Then what's with all the remarks like that?

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a good place to start.

And you would be who, exactly?

[identity profile] zelretch.livejournal.com 2011-02-05 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Good thing. That means I don't need to actually turn you down if you're not desperate, then. Everything works out perfectly.

...Not the only one? That got something like this, you mean?

Oh, pardon me. My name is Rose Lalonde. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
