☘ 018; [action/video; fourth wall]

[Daytime; action; everywhere]

[Today in various places around the world is a Lancer in armor and with a lance. Wherever you are, he'll be appearing out of thin air--yes, literally.]

[The question is, where exactly is he? Behind you at ground level? On top of a streetlight? Standing on the edge of the Goldenrod City Department Store's roof? Wherever he is, he'll have the same mischievous grin on his face. Man, it was good to be back to normal.]

[Evening; video; any given bar anywhere]

Hah--! Man, imagine running into someone like you. My luck must be changing. [Says the grinning idiot in blue that seems to be going through alcohol like it's water. Beside him is another knight in black and green armor, this one a little quieter than the loudmouth Hound of Ulster.]

I'm still really not sure how I arrived at all, prince of light-- [Never mind that he looks embarrassed just to be in the other Lancer's presence for some reason. Weird.]

You worry too much. You're here, so lighten up and have a little fun for once. And quit callin' me that.

[With a special appearance from Zero Lancer/[livejournal.com profile] croibhristeoir~ One or both of them will answer responses to the latter, depending on situations.]

/first time playing Shirou or any F/SN char. b-be gentle dfjkahs

[with Gae Bold tapped against his shoulder and the smirk fading into confusion, the boy's posture relaxed further... though that didn't stop his confusion. a couple of cities away? granted this was a completely different place, but...he hadn't seen this guy in a while]

I was? [Shirou mentally claws at his brain in hopes of finding an answer. after all, being in a different place, Lancer saying he saw him a couple of cities away... he was drawing a blank. and yet it didn't hurt to think about it. it wasn't like something was missing. his mind was clear, memories sound. one way or another he'd have to get to the bottom of this] The last time I saw you was at the Einzbern Castle...

I think you're doing really well, no worries. <3

[Okay, now he was even more confused--and it very clearly showed on his face.]

Yeah, I remember that too. Kinda hard to forget, all things considered. But...what, you're gonna tell me you don't remember winding up here who the hell knows how long ago?

[Double protagonists. It's a damned confusing thing, really.] I mean, I've been here for almost a year, and I'm pretty sure you were around when I got here. Don't think I hit you in the head, so I can't really imagine why you'd forget all that.

success!! /sticking with UBW for now, gonna explore HF/Fate later prolly. also, your Lancer. win.

...

[okay. he lied. now it started to hurt. Shirou was here for almost a year? he remembered just arriving... shortly after the defeat of Gilgamesh and the destruction of the Holy Grail; it wasn't long after the end of the war that he suddenly awoke here. his contract with Tohsaka was gone, the prana link established with her all but non-existant right now. he could only conclude that wherever he was, either pacts were null and void or she just wasn't here to supply him with the back-up power. without her, he likely wouldn't be able to properly maintain his Reality Marble... not yet at least. no amount of battle experience that he'd gained could prepare him for such a thing as world-hopping though]

Almost a year...

[maybe he really did forget something. but what if Lancer was messing with his head? then again, he didn't seem like the deceitful type. no, he could rule that out. so perhaps it was up to the Servant to explain his situation more properly]

I can't remember a thing. Where are we? [he wouldn't try too hard to think of why he forgot. starting from zero was as good of a bet as any with Shirou. a foundation to work from]

>w< thank you~! <3

[identity profile] riastrad-ridire.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
[This was confusing, to say the least. Getting his powers back? Fine. More than fine, really. Realizing it came with someone else's memories obviously going haywire? That was a little less than fine.]

Some crazy alternate reality that would probably take me hours to explain even if I understood how the hell it worked. [His Noble Phantasm dematerialized, Lancer crossing his arms with a sigh.] Short version: We wind up here, train a bunch of weird as hell creatures that shoot fire or electricity or whatever, and fight with them.

Kind of like the Holy Grail War, except without the contracts and if the Servants were dragons and hellhounds and oversized moths.

.... can't believe I said 'bold' instead of 'bolg' last two tags. ffff

[identity profile] tracemagus.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
[and with Gae Bolg dematerializing as it did, Shirou's caution slipped away. he felt no killing intent whatsoever, further cementing the idea that this guy really wasn't that bad after all. funny how that worked, the same guy who tried killing him twice over was becoming a worthwhile ally. too soon to say 'friend' just yet, but--]

So...we're monster trainers or something? What for?

...probably says more that I missed it, oops. 8|a

[identity profile] riastrad-ridire.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hell if I know.

[He looked over his shoulder, giving a light whistle to the shadows cast by the nearest building. A black creature (http://i2.listal.com/image/2610989/500full.jpg) slipped out from where she'd been lurking unseen, sitting down beside Lancer with a yawn.]

This is Olldóiteán. She was the first I got--seems everybody starts out with one and catches the rest themselves.

[though he didn't visibly show it, his mind told him to be prepared, just in case whatever came out from the shadows wasn't friendly. though it didn't take long for him to settle down again as he tried to get a grasp of the situation at hand. he didn't try reaching out for the Houndoom in question though, despite his curiosity]

I see... So you train her to fight? What can she do? [not gonna lie? his Pokémon looks...really cool]

[identity profile] riastrad-ridire.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
She's a Fire-type. Which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like--'Olldóiteán' translates to 'inferno'.

[The Houndoom at his side wagged her tail, yawning and sighing what distinctly looked like a few flames.]

[identity profile] tracemagus.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa... [yeah, he's kind of surprised by this. which is strange...given EVERYTHING HE'S FREAKING BEEN THROUGH. if the Holy Grail War didn't prepare him for seeing things like a Houndoom, nothing ever would. then again, being in a totally different world was strange in the first place]

Wait, Lancer. Everybody who came here was supposed to get one? What about me? [if he does, he hasn't noticed yet. or perhaps he was a special case. ...who would hafta get one of his own]

[identity profile] riastrad-ridire.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
No idea, kid. [Lancer produced the Houndoom's empty Pokeball, smirking as he balanced it on one finger almost easily.]

They're kept in here somehow--you got one on you somewhere?

[identity profile] tracemagus.livejournal.com 2011-12-11 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
[why so cool]

Eh? Uh...let's see...

[looking down at his person, he pats himself down, checking his pockets... nope. for the most part, empty. he's not disappointed at that fact, just...curious. so was it random? was he not meant to be a trainer at all? he may not have been a Master anymore after losing Saber, but--]

Guess not. Oh well, guess it can't be helped.
