☘ 006; [video/action for Violet]

[Three guesses as to who was out of money. Fortunately for Lancer, there was a convenient cafe in Violet City he could work at. Less fortunate was the troublemaking Venonat that enjoyed playing with his Pokegear. Congratulations, 'Kanra', even your eggs are trolls.]

[So today on the network, one could see a heroic spirit in a suit giving a bright smile to every passing cute girl. Same story, different era. The Venonat holding the camera hops around for a bit--possibly having gotten into some coffee--before the video cuts off.]

[A few hours later once his shift had ended, Lancer sent out a couple messages. Look at that, he managed to get the filters working.]

Hey. I have a question for you.

private to Rin and Shirou
Listen, both of you--there's something I want to talk to you about.

I'll keep an eye out. I'm leaving Cherry Grove for good soon but if I catch him marching in, I'll give him a run down. I've taught others to use modern conveniences from the ground up so if he's a bright kid, he'll catch on.

He's definitely no idiot.

You'll probably know him when you see him--blond, speaks with an Irish accent, smartmouthed bastard.

[Beat.]

...And he most likely won't tell you his name.

Which means he'll stand out.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 10:10 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. As long as he doesn't run into any other trainers, I assume he'll be on his way to Cherrygrove and Violet soon enough.

Running into other trainers would be better.

[Not for the sake of fighting. But in Kiri's case, for the sake of maximizing EXP.]

Not if he ends up knocking all of them out instead of using his Pokemon.

video;

[identity profile] graildilf.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 10:15 am (UTC)(link)
[He'd have a few select statements along the lines of "as long as no one was looking" but he'll keep those to himself.]

I suppose. If I remember correctly, that is a good way to get thrown into jail.

video;

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
...great. Let's just hope no one challenges him to a fight.

video;

[identity profile] graildilf.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
...this seems to be a classic case of "Do what I say, not what I do".

[8|]

He's working with some different circumstances. If someone challenges him, he can't ignore it no matter what. At least, assuming Johto didn't change that.

So for all I know, he could be stuck out there for weeks depending on how many trainers he meets.

So he is Irish, under at least one geas, and is the son of a legendary hero.

. . .

I suppose it's safe to say I don't need to give you his name now. Or mine, for that matter.

video;

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 10:46 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't really matter at this point. Rin and your kid knew who I was before we got here.

Though I have to admit, that was pretty quick of you.

It will probably go over your head but information is power. I fought the 4th Grail War more with my mind than my body.

Hey, I'm no idiot. I just find confronting people head-on to be a better method than any other.

video;

[identity profile] graildilf.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
Saber was the same way. She wouldn't follow my orders because of that.

video;

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:04 am (UTC)(link)
I imagine most Servants would think similarly, except maybe the Caster and Assassin-classes.

video;

[identity profile] graildilf.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
Caster...

[so much distaste in his voice]

...let me know if a sane one ever appears.

video;

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
I only saw a little of the Fifth War's Caster myself. She caused a hell of a lot of trouble, but I wouldn't know if she was insane or just fighting to win the Grail.

video;

[identity profile] graildilf.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
The Church Mediator had to offer a reward for Caster's defeat in the 4th War.

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
You're kidding. They were that much of a problem?

video;

[identity profile] graildilf.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
Torturing and murdering innocents just for the sake of doing it. That was Caster and his Master.

video;

[identity profile] solas-ion.livejournal.com 2011-02-23 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
...tch. The fifth's Caster was drawing energy from the city, but I definitely didn't see any sign of torturing civilians.

[Never mind what he knew was in the church basement. That didn't have anything to do with Caster, after all.]

I never figured out who her Master was, though.
