I dunno about the rest of you, but that was kind of the weirdest part of that mess for me.

Flare's the one who got a boost. He's a Charizard, and those crystals turned him black and blue, with extra spikes and a bunch of blue flames spewing out of his mouth.

I'd quite like an explanation for that myself. Avenger did not need the power boost, nor the encouragement to use it.

Tyrfing's already one of my stronger ones, so I'd almost feel sorry for those guys if they weren't causin' so much trouble.

...Avenger's tendencies would usually earn them my full sympathy, but I have to admit that the extent of their plans somewhat reduces that particular sentiment. If not for that strange Pokémon, they could have easily killed us all.
