[Lancer's patience was quickly wearing thin with this place. His shoulder hurt like hell after the other night's little run-in with whatever those monsters were, and the mark on his hand only served to irritate him more. What was this supposed to be, some weird blue parody of Command Spells? What a pain.]

...tch. [Scowling, he shoved his hands into his pockets and stalked around the castle's second floor with a miserable look on his face.]

[Lancer raised an eyebrow in mild confusion, looking from the door to Cecil.]

[Cecil turns around to stare at Lancer, looking very unpaladinlike for once. Everyone has their days.]

My problem is that too many doors in this castle are blocked by fire or ice or glowing colors, and that the rest of our Pokémon might be behind any of them. What's the point of this?

[Maybe the point is that he could only open that golden door earlier, but he doesn't like it.]

[He walked over, knocking on the door as if testing just how sturdy it was and what it was made out of.]

Glowing colors, huh...Got somethin' to do with these annoying little seals on our hands? Unless I'm the only one with a nice decoration, in which case I'm less than flattered.

[He's not calming down, not really, but at least he's not hitting the door anymore. That'll have to suffice.]

Those seals are most certainly involved. I managed to open the door near the stairs, and while I was looking for additional supplies I happened to find this.

[This would be the pokéball he's now taking out, and clutching very tightly. Like hell he's allowing it to disappear again.]

[That got him to pay attention. Startled, Lancer stared at Cecil's Pokeball for a moment before looking back to the door.]

So what, we're playing some kind of matching game here?

So it seems, considering the lack of success I've had when trying to open this door by force. Even Avenger could not slip through.

[Possibly in reaction to those words, the pokéball moves slightly.]

[solas_ion]

So you're after some jerk with a blue seal then, by the looks of this door?

Unless whoever caused this is particularly sadistic, yes. But, even with both a blue and a gold seal, that leaves one Pokémon missing. I'd need that one, too, if we can find the corresponding door.

[solas_ion]

One thing at a time, Cecil.

[Cracking his knuckles, Lancer held up his hand with the blue sigil on it.]

Tell me how to open it.

[Well, doesn't that sound simply and way too easy?]

...That's it? Well, okay...

[Lancer placed his hand on the door, slightly surprised to find how easily it opened after that.

C'mon. I'm half expecting shit to start jumping me again.

At this point, I'd be more surprised if nothing tried to jump at us.

[He starts walking towards the door, but the suddenly stops.]

How can we be certain this room is safe for me to enter? Perhaps it rejects other sigils...

There's only one way to find out, isn't there? If you get hurt, I'll take full responsibility for it even if I have to carry you around this stupid place.

Unacceptable. That would leave you stuck dealing with Avenger at his worst, and I'd not wish that on anyone.

[But in his left arm goes, followed by the rest of his body. No injuries to be seen there.]

I'm sure I'd survive, but whatever. You feel okay?

I feel no worse than I have since I first woke up here. That's good enough for me.

[And that would be when he actually decides to look around.]

...No idea. [Lancer looked around, frowning at the sight of so many different devices he couldn't begin to guess the function of.]

It's definitely nothing I'm familiar with, but let's look around and see if there's anything here.

Avenger's ball was in a sconce, out of the way and somewhat hidden from the careless eye. I imagine it'll be the same for those kept here.

[Yet he goes for the crystals, rather than any nook or cranny. Why would anyone study those...?]

Out of the way, huh? Guess that makes sense--not like I was expecting finding them to be simple. But if I have to break this place down brick by brick to find them, then that's just what I'll do.

[Following Cecil, lancer looked over the other knight's shoulder.]

...What is it?

[It takes a few moments before he answers, his eyes still fixed on the stones.]

...Crystals are items of great power in my world and others, not to be trifled with. How could anyone obtain so many, and for what purpose? Could they be the power that brought us here?

...hm. I can't say they're all that powerful where I come from, but I wouldn't throw out the idea.

...Perhaps it would be best not to disturb them, then.

[Wouldn't want to blow up the castle with everyone inside, or something equally silly.]

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I'm all for the 'stupid risk' option usually, but poking the otherworldly crystal is a little more stupid than even I'd like.

Mine is still at home and powerless, at least. I'd rather not imagine what would happen if its power interacted with these.

[Backing away slowly now.]

...With all the clutter in here, I can understand why there could be pokéballs lost in this room.

I doubt calling for 'em would do much, so I guess we're down to looking the old-fashioned way.

[Shrugging, he pointed over his own shoulder.]

[He moves to his side of the room and starts looking behind a... a... Seriously, what are those contraptions? He tries not to touch it as he looks, just in case.]

Be careful. Some of those machines might still be drawing power from the crystals, and you'd have no way to tell before their activation.
