Y'know, I think I'm getting the hang of this stuff.

[Lancer was, unsurprisingly, not wearing armor. What was surprising, however, was his current choice in attire.]

--Your Pokemon sets clothes on fire? [This is one of those times Scott is glad Knuckles doesn't use many fire attacks on him and his only two pairs of clothes.

Yeah, something like that. Might be more accurate to say she sets everything on fire and clothes just happen to be in range.

Yeah, it's a Fire/Dark type. I think the darkness is, like, evil or something. So you'll need some sorta light Pokemon. [...Scott, Dark-type doesn't work like that. Did you even read your guide? No? Okay then.] But I haven't seen a Light-Type, so maybe an Electric-Type'll work.

...something tells me you might not be an expert on this, kid.

...It's not my fault there's new types over here in this place. [Blame Nintendo all you want, Scott. :|] But I guess you could also keep a Water-Type around, or something.

Now that you mention it, I did pick up a fishing rod in the last town. Guess I'll give that a try later.

And if you're trying to stop it from burning you now, I wouldn't recommend a Magikarp. They're great if you've got time or heaps of Rare Candy, but they're not good before then. [Though Scott has never trained them in 'real life'.] But I dunno what other Water-types are around before Violet. [He never looked.]

Only one way to find out what else is there, then.

I have plenty of time, but it's not really something every human's supposed to know about. But where you seem so interested, what I will tell you is that there's six other classes. Lancer, Saber, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.

I'd recommend a Water type on hand.
