[[Still looking a bit sunburnt, but smiling none the less]] They aren't always ill omens. They're bearers of knowledge, tricksters no doubt, but bringing good as well as trouble. [[a warm smile]] Maybe it's all the sunlight that's been attracting them? Since they're also associated with the sun!

Is that how they're regarded in this era?

[Hm. Strange to think about, but he could see where the trickster part likely came from. Shapeshifting probably fell under the category of tricks, didn't it?]

In a lot of different eras and cultures, really! There were Odin's ravens, Thought and Memory, in Greece the raven was a messenger for the sun gods, the Chinese believe in a three legged raven in the sun....there are a lot of different myths!

That's what the stories say, yeah. Things in triplicate were kind of a thing back then, come to think of it.

Triples are pretty common in a lot of things, since 3 is a number of significance!

That's right. Surviving warriors used to clear out of battlefields as quickly as possible so they wouldn't disturb what they called the Morrígan's harvest.

Knowing all that, I'm wondering just what these birds are doing, gathering around like that. I know I haven't seen any battlefields around here, and if they're trying to warn me about something I'm not really getting the message.

It could be part of a natural cycle? Though there's been an increase in some other pokemon types as well, some ghost types and ones that looked like a dog, so I'm not quite sure what it would be cycle of...

A collection of ghosts, hellhounds, and ravens doesn't really seem like anything good is on the horizon.
